Setting up Fife Tours and Photography

Been a bit of an uncertain period at work regarding the future, things look ok for the next couple of years but who knows? I decided late last year to look at setting up my own wee venture, this blog is to let you know how i'm getting on.

My plan was to set up a walking and photography tour in St. Andrews, this then grew to customised tours in Fife and wild life tours. The photography element will be just guidance as i don't feel comfortable with teaching people how to use their cameras however I will carry out specific commissioned photographs.

Walking Tour
I have completed the route, written up the history and tales i'm going to tell, found the best 'non tourist' positions for photos. The tour is planned to last about 4 hours and will take in most of the centre of St Andrews.

Wildlife tours
I love taking photographs of wild life, Ive been doing this for the last 10 years and have built up a good bit of knowledge on where to take people to see specific species. We are so lucky in Fife to have such an abundance of wildlife all year round. Tours will last between 4 and 6 hours depending on species and where to see them.

Customised tours
Again, we are lucky in Fife, we have some beautiful old market towns such as Cupar, villages such as Ceres, Fishing villages all along the East Neuk, historical places such as Falkland and Dunfermline, old kirks such as St Monans, Leuchars etc, so much to show off, again tours are planned to last between 4 and 6 hours.

Photography
I have already sold a number of motorbike racing photographs, i have been approached to take property photos. I am happy to take photographs of just about anything for people or business apart from weddings!

The walk has been designed, the talk has been done, the facebook page is up and running, the web site www.fifetoursandphotography.co.uk is on line, here's the start of the blog........ Next job is the promotional leaflets to print and distribute, magnetic logo for the side of the car, a practice tour with invited guests, limited company to set up......... then find some clients!
